When most people die, they leave assets for their loved ones to share. Traditionally these assets are physical. In this day and age, there are also digital assets. In some cases the digital assets may be worth more than the physical ones.
If such assets could not be retrieved, the deceased and their loved ones could become short changed.
To unlock most digital assets, you may require a username, password, etc.
These are very sensitive details, which could be very expensive especially if they get into wrong hands.
Such security details could be for bank accounts, digital businesses, access to confidential information, access to business information, access to wills, access to emails, etc.
Could there be a secure digital software or platform where such information could be stored? Could there be reliable and responsible people to manage the processes? Could the information be uploaded and updated regularly and with ease?
Could there be legal or other implications to this? Could such an app or software or platform be of much use? Could it ease difficult issues? Could some thoughts be given to the workability, effectiveness and usability?
Could it be user-friendly? Could legal changes be adapted to new realities? Could there be companies to manage such processes? Does it give little or more room to fraud? Could negative implications be mitigated? Will this idea die before it’s born? Or could it be perfected and monetised?
